The name of the Agency is Amfiktyonies - Developmental Organization of Local Self-Government Anonyme Company and its distinguishing title is AMFIKTYONIES S.A.

The agency is governed by the provisions of article 2 of Law 4674/2020 (Government Gazette A' 53) "Strategic development perspective of Local Self-Governing Organizations, regulation of matters of competence of the Ministry of the Interior and other provisions" and articles 194-199 of Law 3852/ 2010 (Government Gazette A' 87) "New Architecture of Self-Government and Decentralized Administration - Kallikratis Program", from the provisions of Law 4548/2018 (Government Gazette A' 104/2018) "Reform of the law of joint-stock companies", from any other provision of mandatory law, such as the above amended provisions apply each time, as well as the provisions of the articles of association that have been filed with GEMI. It is registered in the General Commercial Register with registration number 155922854000.

The Company's shareholders are the Municipalities of Lamia, Amfikleia - Elateia, Domokos, Makrakomi and Stylida

It is also possible to participate first and second grade OTA’s, Regional Associations of Municipalities, Regional Development Funds, the Central Union of Municipalities of Greece, the Union of Regions of Greece, the networks and links of municipalities, provided that the OTA’s and the Regional Associations of Municipalities own the majority of the share capital, excluding in any case the participation of individuals or private associations or other private interest entities.

The role of the Developmental Agency

The role of the Development Organization evolved as a dynamic process of accumulating experiences and converging the local socio-economic data of the Prefecture of Fthiotida, with the trends, orientations and requirements of the wider Regional, National and European environment.

Its legal status, as a Société Anonyme, underlines its character as a private "public interest" company

Its purposes are, "the support of development activities of the local government, the social and private sector, the provision of specialized services and the creation of conditions for the symmetrical development of its area of responsibility". The above, in addition to any advantages and disadvantages it exhibits, they emphasize the necessity of its operation with business criteria, ensuring its economic viability, its flexibility at the level of organization and operation and its solvency, in parallel with the satisfaction of the purpose of mobilization - support of local bodies and forces.
