From 28 to 30 August 2023, an important event for the current representatives of URBACT cities from all over Europe, “URBACT University 2023”, took place in Malmö (Sweden). This action is designed to equip city representatives participating in the URBACT Action Planning Networks with skills useful for developing Integrated Action Plans and promoting change in their cities. The training was held in English, with the aim of preparing the participants for the next steps of the implementation of the URBACT program, strengthening their skills in participatory and integrated policy-making and familiarizing them with the use of tools for the development of an Integrated Action Plan in the city their. In addition, it was a unique opportunity to meet the network partners in person for the first time and gave the opportunity to develop contacts with many European cities.

The Development Organization "AMFIKTYONIES S.A." participates in the approved cities network Cities@Heart with lead partner "The Greater Paris Metropolis" and partners from Poland, Spain, Croatia, Portugal, Slovenia, Belgium, Ireland and Italy. All partners will draw up an Integrated Action Plan (Action Planning network). They will also have the opportunity to test some small-scale solutions in their cities, developing skills, bringing together local actors and creating transnational partnerships.
